If you suffer from brown/green spots caused by melasma, age spots, sunspots, hyperpigmentation, or feckless, you might find it difficult to find makeup that gives you flawless and natural coverage. In this post, I will share with you some Seint Makeup that will color correct your hyperpigmentation.
What is Melasma
Melasma is a common skin condition characterized by dark, discolored patches on the face, most commonly on the cheeks, nose, forehead, and upper lip. It is caused by an increase in melanin, the pigment that gives color to our skin, hair, and eyes. Melasma is more common in women, especially during pregnancy, and in individuals with darker skin types.
Melasma is often triggered by exposure to UV light, hormonal changes (such as pregnancy, birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy), and certain medications (such as antibiotics, anti-seizure drugs, and birth control pills). It can also be inherited or caused by certain cosmetic products.
Brushes to use
In order to effectively color correct your melasma, you need the proper tools in your toolkit to achieve a flawless result. Each of these three brushes will help you cover the spots in a different way. Identify how much you think you will be covering.

Multitasker Brush really targets blemishes and discolorations
How to Color Correct Melasma
You probably try to layer and cake on foundation and concealer to cover these spots. Unfortunately, that usually results in a crusty finish. Instead, you want to color correct these melasma spots. By color correcting you will instead have a luminous and natural skin finish making these age spots invisitble.
Melasma, age spots, sun spots, usually appear brown, but they actually have green undertones. To color correct melasma with makeup, you can use a range of yellows, oranges, and pinks to eliminate the green undertones. This is because oranges/pinks are opposite of green on the color wheel, so it will neutralize the greenness associated with melasma.
Seint makeup has a line called Demi. You can learn more about this demi line here. This line is highly pigmented cream makeup, that is designed to COLOR CORRECT (instead of cover) discoloration. These are the shades I would recommend to cover melasma.
- To cover purple/blue – use YO1
- To cover green/blue – use RO1
- to cover green – use R1
- to cover blue/purple – OY1
- To cover Blue – O3
- To cover a dark Blue – O5
How to apply demi
When applying these colors, you will likely use the Demi Spot brush or multi tasker brush as mentioned above. Before applying any other makeup, you will FIRST apply demi. You will use those brushes, and lightly tap in to your demi cream makeup. Then lightly apply the color correcting cream only over your melasma area. Lightly stipple until you have color correct each spot you are hoping to eliminate. Once you do that, then you can go ahead and apply the rest of your iiiD foundation, contour routine.
